The Best Recyclers for July

For the past 12 months, Weapons & Field Training (31Area) have agressively embraced recycling. With an organized & conscientious effort, they have become some of best recyclers at MCB, Camp Pendleton. A special thanks to those that make a difference to our world in more ways than one.

Recycling efforts aboard the Base are to be commended. So every month I will take the time to recognize the “power hitters”, the Areas, activities and the units that make Camp Pendleton’s recycling the success that it is.  Kudos goes to Hq & Support, 9th Comm, Intel, Radio, and SES Battalions for their continued, organized and structured recycling efforts.

Free brouchures with simple guidelines are available at each of the Base Recycle Centers. These brochures are designed to assist all commanding officers and civilian department heads in developing a sound, effective and efficient recycle program in the workplace.

Message from the Manager

Posted in From the Manager | 6 Comments »

I have had the honor to serve Camp Pendleton as the Recycling Manager since 1991. The challenges have been many but the mission has always been the same. To provide our community with an effective recycling program that diverts recyclable wastes from our landfills, to educate Base occupants,  while ensuring that our community reap the rewards for it’s efforts. As the mission continues, I am proud to say that Camp Pendleton’s recycling program not only stands tall in California but it is considered to be one of the best in the Department of Defense.
